RIBA Award Winner – Lifestyle Academy, Newcastle College

Create are delighted to announce that The Lifestyle Academy at Newcastle College has won a regional RIBA Award.  On account of the number of design developments used in this concrete framed building, we have also found out that the building has been shortlisted for a Concrete Society Award.

Starting next Monday 16 June, Scottish Television will be showing four 1 minute Architecture Design programmes everyday at 16.00, 17.30 and 18.30 for two weeks. One of the programmes is the ECOSpace building in Dunfermline which recently won a Scottish Design Award for sustainability.

Queen Anne Bus Station Completed

Create Engineering are please to announce the completion of Queen Anne Bus Station in Dunfermline.  The bus station will be open to the public on Thursday 10th April.  The official Grand Opening was held on Wednesday 23rd April.   Create Engineering carried out all Civil & Structural design relating to this development.

Edinburgh Academy Junior School Nursery and After School Building Starts On Site

The Dunne Group has been appointed as main contractor to commence works on the new junior school nursery and after school building. Create have been novated to The Dunnes Group in this design and build contract. Works are due for completion in Autumn 2008.

North Glasgow College

The development concrete works for the main frame of the Faculty Building is almost complete now with only small areas of the roof slab and the link building to be cast. The workshops have been completed with respect to structure and the cladding is being finished off, with service fit-out well advanced.
