Kings Manor Hotel completes

Working for Les Solley Hotels (Best Western) the new function room for the King’s Manor Hotel is now complete. The design team including Norman Rough Design, McLeod and Aitken Quantity Surveyors, Dalziel Buildign Services together with Cornhill Building Services completed the work on time and to budget. Queen Street Edinburgh

On the recommendation by 3DReid Architects we have been appointed by Joint Properties for the redevelopment of an existing office block into a new hotel. The existing building has a concrete framed structure  with a listed facade retention system to the north elevation overlooking Queen Street. Ryden’s are the Project Managers.

Newbattle Terrace Edinburgh

At the request of Morgan McDonnell Architects and the client Edinburgh Periodontics, Create Engineering have been asked to be the Engineers for a new dental surgery on Newbattle Terrace. McLeod + Aitken are the Quantity Surveyors. Planning has already been approved and work is currently ongoing for a building warrant submission. Images by Morgan McDonnell Architecture Ltd.

Links Place Leith

Planning Approval for Merchiston Tennis Club

At the first time of submitting we are delighted for Merchiston Tennis Club who obtained planning the other day for their redevelopment of the courts at Polwarth in Edinburgh. This approval now allows various forms of funding to be activated by the club which will in turn help with additional financial backing from other sources.

Working with Sam Moran Architects we have now completed an extension to a house on Craigleith Avenue North. The Main Contractor was Gloss Projects and hopefully the quality of the space created is clear from the pictures.

Seton Place

Works are progressing for The Church of Scotland Manse on Seton Place. In a conservation area on the southside of Edinburgh Create Engineering have been asked to help Craig Amy Architects with the redevelopment of a two storey house. Planning has been approved and the Building Warrant submitted for alterations to the house and a new single room extension to the rear.

The Galeri, Caernarfon

Over the last few months work has been progressing on a number of alterations to the back of house facilities for the Galeri Theatre in Caernarfon.
